Favorite Quotes- "Emily lowered her head, clutched her infant daughter to her chest, and for the first time in her life, began to pray." pg. 5. This is my favorite because if an airplane accident is getting so and that somebody decides to start praying for the first time. Than it is bad. This is a great description of how bad the accident was.
Summary- Airframe is a thrilling, science-fiction, book following the character of Casey Singleton. Besides having to cope with the stresses of just having divorced her husband, she works for Norton Aircraft. Norton Aircraft designs planes, but not engines (this is very important later in the story). Norton Aircraft is about to make a huge sale to China but one thing comes in the way. On TransPacific Flight 545 a huge accident occurs in which chairs were broken (it takes lots of force to break a chair on a commercial aircraft), around 50 people were injured, and 4 people (including the pilot) died. If Casey does not solve the mystery as to what happened on that flight than China will not buy planes from Norton Aircraft. Casey operates under tons of pressure from her boss, John Marder. Also, she has an intern with her who is doing some suspicious activity involving John Marder. Airframe is a book that will appeal to anyone who loves science or engineering, thrillers, or a good mystery book.
Favorite Character- Casey because she is sharp, hard-working, and brave.
Themes- Never give up, never lie
Why should people read it?- They should read it because it is a fun, thrilling, mystery book that teaches people about the making and parts of an airplane and some aerodynamics as well.
